LUMS and OGDCL sign MoU for an Executive Education Collaboration

Dr. Arshad Ahmad co-signed the MoU with MD/CEO OGDCL

In a momentous collaboration, LUMS , through its Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), entered a long-term executive learning and development partnership focusing on the exchange of knowledge and expertise to enhance productivity.

The ceremony was held at the OGDCL House, Blue Area, Islamabad. The entire senior management was in attendance for the signing of the MoU led by Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO- OGDCL. Mr. Shahzad Safdar, Executive Director (HR/Admin)- OGDCL and Mr. Talat Haider, Chief In charge-OGDCL were also present. The LUMS team was led by Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, LUMS and he was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Ali Khan, Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives, LUMS, Ms. Aisha Azhar, Director, Rausing Development Executive Centre (REDC) and Mr. Waqas Mazhar, Deputy Manager Marketing (REDC). The MoU consolidated the strategic partnership between OGDCL and LUMS and was signed by Dr. Arshad Ahmad and Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak on June 9, 2023.

This collaboration centres on developing executive education programmes focused on organisational development and the co-creation of transformative learning solutions for OGDCL. The executive programmes are focused on multiple cadre; each offering unique advantages with a focus on strategic areas such as leadership, strategic planning, governance, management development, innovation and strategic change. This multi-faceted model is designed to enhance human capital within OGDCL, allowing executives to engage in one or all levels of development. The modules within each level provide comprehensive learning experiences meticulously designed in consultation with OGDCL management.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Dr. Ahmad said, “We understand that different organisations, especially the public sector, have specific developmental needs, and we would like to promote more tailor-made management development programmes that cater to the focused needs of the participants”.
