MBA Class of 2010 Gives Back by Establishing MBA Scholarship Fund at LUMS

In a significant step towards providing accessible educational opportunities, the MBA Class of 2010 has established a fund to support the two-year study of an MBA scholar at LUMS. The initiative was formalised through an MoU between Mr. Adam Mohyuddin, Director of Growth at Clustox and the fund representative, and Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor of LUMS.

 

 

The ceremony, held on campus, was attended by several alumni. They included Mr. Ussama Ayub, Programme Director, MS Technology Management and Entrepreneurship, LUMS; Ms. Mahira Ilyas, Undergraduate Programme Director, Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), LUMS; Mr. Hasan Mubarak, Chief Commercial Officer, KalPay; Mr. Muhammad Tariq Bashir, COO and Founding Team Member, SnappRetail; Mr. Humbal Tariq, Adjunct Faculty, SDSB, LUMS; and Mr. Ahmed Farooq, Business Development and Key Account Head – APAC, NETSOL Technologies Inc.

Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director, Office of Advancement, and Mr. Anas Ashraf Ali, Head of Development, Office of Advancement, welcomed the attendees and expressed their appreciation for the MBA Class of 2010’s spirit of giving. They also reflected on the enduring bond between LUMS and its alumni.

Dr. Cheema expressed his gratitude to the MBA Class of 2010, stating, “This initiative reflects the strength of our alumni network and their commitment to expanding educational opportunities for talented students. We are deeply grateful for your support, and it is truly heartening to witness this level of alumni engagement.”

 

 

The MBA Class of 2010 representatives reflected on how their education at LUMS profoundly shaped their personal and professional journeys. They highlighted their commitment to giving back to the institution that played a pivotal role in their growth, stating that they aim to empower future generations of MBA scholars through this fund, and support their paths to success.

This scholarship fund will play a vital role in expanding access to quality education, helping LUMS continue its mission of advancing academic excellence and cultivating the next generation of business leaders.
